MOMMY THAT HURT!!!

This past weekend David and I went to visit our parents. It was meant to be a surprise for my parents and sister as well as David's mom and brother. We had a BBQ Sunday evening and on Monday, David and I went to the mall with my in-laws. While we were there I decided to get Elyana's ears pierced. While we were waiting for the lady to pierce them, Elyana was playing and all smiles (as she always is) but after she was not happy at all. I decided that you guys should see the photos...so here they are.

We are Home!

Well, we made it to Thomasville. We are now living in a great apartment with 2 bedrooms and lots of space. We rented a Penske to haul our stuff from our New York apartment to our New home in Georgia. I have posted pictures of our moving truck loaded...I also included pics of us following David (my mom and I traveled in the Tucson while him and his dad were in the moving truck). Elyana had a rough time with 3 days in a car seat but we made it, and she has gotten to relax for awhile. After we moved our stuff into the apartment on the 11th we continued on our journey to Pensacola to return the moving truck, then to Mobile to return my mom. We stayed with our parents for the rest of that week and returned to Thomasville Thursday the 15th. Since then I have managed to get the kitchen and baby's room unpacked. Only to realize that David and I are in much need of ACTUAL furniture. With that said, WE ARE HOME! We are settling into Southern life (again) and are loving our new Congregation.

The move

So David and I are moving from our home in Nyack, New York to our new home (apartment) in Thomasville, Georgia on Saturday May the 9th. We have loved the 5 years we have been up here in New York but G-d has made it abundantly clear that he is calling us away from here and away from our family at Shuvah to our new family in Thomasville. Even with one visit to the Synagogue in Georgia we knew that this is the place where we were to be, where G-d was sending us. We are very excitied about this new opportunity in our lives.

With our last service at Shuvah being this past Saturday, we were asked to start a blog (like Laura Rosenberg) for them to watch our baby girl, Elyana Lirona, grow up. So here it is, I am not sure I will be any good at it, but I am willing to give it a try.

More to come after we arrive in Thomasville on Monday.
